Do you really need all that?

While I was in the checkout line at the store today a woman in front of me had her cart loaded up with everything under the sun that was fattening. I mean really… do you need all that? Where is the fresh fruit? Where is the healthy in that stuff. All that will do is rot your teeth and make you even fatter than you already are. There sure is no quick trim extreme burn in that calorie laden junk you’re buying.

I remember when I was younger you rarely saw an obese person. People back then ate so much healthier. I was looking in my high school yearbook and I think out of all of the people in my class there were maybe 3 overweight people. Now you see a lot of overweight kids. Part of that problem is computers, tvs and video games. Kids don’t go outside and get fresh air anymore. I was always outside playing with friends and only went inside to eat and go to bed unless it was raining. Even then.. unless it was really bad out.. I played on our front porch.

People have become lazy and don’t exercise, cook healthy food and eat at fast food places too much.

She’s getting chunky

JoJo is getting chunky… she’s put on a bit of weight since we’ve been living in this camper. She doesn’t have a lot of room to run around so she spends most of her day grazing at her food bowl and sleeping. I wonder if they make the best natural fat burner for cats?

When I lived in the condo JoJo weighed 9 pounds. I don’t know what she weighs now but I can see the extra weight on her now. My scale is in storage so I can’t weigh her.. but I’m willing to bet she’s close to 12 pounds or more now.

One good thing

There is only one good thing about being broke… I’m not eating as much as I was because we have very little food. I sure don’t need to use any fat burners because I’ve already lost about 5 lbs but not eating much.

Between the stress and not having much food the weight will probably drop off quickly. I just have to stretch things until Friday then sweat it again for 2 more weeks. If I don’t find a job soon I just don’t know what I’m going to do. The tension between hubby and I is just about at the breaking point. It’s true that money problems can cause major marital problems.

I never want to get that way

I remember several years ago reading a news article about someone who was bedridden and was so large and needed to go to the hospital. They were too large to fit through the door and they had to either cut a hole in the wall or enlarge the door frame to get this person out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a “fatty hater”, I just don’t understand how someone could let themselves get so big when there are so many things that can help you lose weight. There is diet and exercise, extreme weight loss pills, stomach stapling or gastric banding.

I understand that some people eat when stressed but my goodness how much stress does one person have to be under to eat themselves into certain death? It has to be so humiliating to be so large that you can’t get through a doorway.

My own mother is about 5′ 2″ tall and weighs over 200 lbs. She gets out of breath just walking across the room. Her bones can’t support the weight very well and her back and knees bother her. She has a hard time getting up out of a chair without a struggle. She’s 89 years old and has been big for the last half of her life. She says she just has big bones. Denial is another thing that contributes to her weight. I just know that I never want to get that big.

Pre Vacation Weight Loss

Here are some things to do to get that “perfect body” for your vacation (if there is any such thing).

Check out sales on the top diet pills.

Join a gym.

Use your home fitness equipment regularly.

Take walks.

Eat sensibly.

And if all else fails wear clothes that camouflage those not so perfect areas.
