I had to go out this morning. I had to head to WaWa to get some bread. The traffic was fairly light, for a change, until I got close to a wholesale company. The traffic got very heavy… actually it was just about stopped.
There were a lot of police and fire vehicles going into the lot. I didn’t see any smoke or flames. I went on to the store and when I came back all the police and fire vehicles were gone. It had only been about 5 minutes. I’m guessing it was some kind of false alarm.
I don’t know if the roads were a bit icy this morning or what. I saw signs that at least 3 cars ran off Pitney Road sometime overnight and into the trees. I could see pieces of vehicles and damaged trees. I’ll bet those people’s car insurance companies were kept hopping today.
The roads were clear and dry when I went to work this morning but it was icy cold.. it was only in the teens!
People around here just don’t know how to drive when the roads become wet, snowy or icy. It’s like they put on their dumb hats or something.
