We would love to have a family reunion but last year my sister-in-law passed away from cancer and she was the one who has hosted the reunion for the past several years. There isn’t one planned for this year.
I was checking out places where everyone in the family could go and be all in one place and I found a site that has Outer Banks vacation rentals. Carolina Designs has several vacation homes to choose from along the Outer Banks.
There is plenty of room in this house for everyone. The house has 2 king sized beds, 1 queen sized bed, 2 twin beds, a bunk bed and a futon. There are 4 full bathrooms and a half bath. There are plenty of places for the family to crash. This place even has it’s own pool and is in a quiet place.. although it might not be too quiet after the Muskett family comes to play.
There is a great view of the ocean, volleyball to play, a game room with a sports bar (a Muskett man’s dream!). I can just see the women lounging in the hot tub while the men are grilling up some nice juicy steaks. If the kids get bored with the pool there are 10 TVs in this house along with 3 VCRs, 2 DVD players and an XBox. We wouldn’t even have to bring movies to watch because the house comes with a video library too. We can even bring our laptops because it has free high speed internet but with all there is to do there the laptops might just sit idle for the duration.
Having the whole family together would be great and having them together in a nice relaxing place like the Outer Banks would really be wonderful.

When will I ever be able to get my stuff out of storage? We are behind in the payments and until we can get caught up we can’t take our stuff out. I’m almost tempted to just go out and buy some contemporary furniture to put in the living room. It’s not just the furniture I need.. I need my pictures, papers, kitchen stuff, sheets, towels and everything.
I have a borrowed love seat, an old chair of ours that was in the garage here, a tv on a trunk, a table (that my computer is on), a borrowed desk chair, an air mattress bed (that’s not all that comfortable) and no dresser for my clothes. I almost feel like I’m still camping out but at least it’s in a much bigger place.
This house has 3 bedrooms, well it could be 4 as there is another room off of the family room downstairs, 3 bathrooms, a garage and a laundry room. The kitchen is a nice size and we finally have a table in there that was left by my sister-in-law.
Hopefully soon we’ll have this place fixed up the way we want it to be.

My daughter just called all upset. Her fiancee’s father came down for the weekend to pick up her fiancee to take him to Pennsylvania to help him move. He was supposed to be moving in with them because he is losing his house in Pennsylvania.
All of a sudden he said that my daughter was a bitch who couldn’t be lived with and gave his son an ultimatum… either choose my daughter or him. The fiancee chose my daughter and father left for Pennsylvania alone. He also said the house was a pigsty. Excuse me??? What do you expect when someone just moves out yesterday and Andi and Drew are unpacking their stuff and trying to get it put away. Sister-in-law left a lot of stuff that she still has to go through and decide if she wants it or not (which she is going to start doing tomorrow). The place needs painting (which Andi and Drew are going to do) but they haven’t had the chance to do it yet.
I am so upset and pissed off at this man that I’ve never even met yet. I sure don’t think I want to after this stunt he’s pulled. It’s not like the house is a run down shack because it’s not. It even has new Moen kitchen faucets and recently installed wood floors. This crap just throws a big monkey wrench into everything. Drew’s dad was moving down to help with the rent and it was going to be split 3 ways to make things easier. Now it’s going to be a huge struggle to pay that and the utility bills each month.
Andi has been nothing but nice to this man. I swear he must have some kind of personality disorder or something because Andi never had a bad thing to say about this man until today.
I am not a happy momma bear… not one bit.

A new decade starts tomorrow. I have just 2 resolutions. I’m not resolving to workout on my treadmill because I don’t have one. I resolve to find a job and get out of this camper and into a house either a rental or we’ll buy one. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to keep those resolutions.
What resolutions have you made for the coming year?
Happy New Year everyone!

I wish there was no such thing as having bills to pay. We still have to pay the final bills from the utilities at the condo we no longer live in. We have IRS payments too along with the car payment, insurance, doctor bills and more. At least we don’t have any drug rehab treatment center payments to make.
If we could win the lottery I wouldn’t mind paying all these bills. We could pay them and not really miss the money. In fact we could pay off the car, pay off hubby’s student loans and still have plenty of money left over to make a house payment or maybe even just buy a house outright. It’s nice to dream… isn’t it?
