Later today I’m taking Andi and Benton to the Spencer’s corporate office for their annual family trick or treat. It’s from 3 to 5 PM and we get to go to all of the different offices to trick or treat. Benton is going to be dressed as a Tootsie Roll.
Everyone in the building dresses up. On year someone was dressed in a box with Wii accessories attached to it. Last year there was someone dressed as a Rubic’s Cube and another guy did a Ghost Buster’s theme and even did his car all up to look like the Ghost Buster’s one.
This is where I worked for 3 years but they weren’t able to bring me back this year. In fact they had to lay people off in the entire building. I’m excited to go in and see everyone I used to work with (if they are all still there).

The place I used to work at is gearing up for their yearly DSM meetings and I really wish I was there. I never worked at a place that I loved so much. The co-workers were great, well most of them anyway. I’m going to miss all the hustle and bustle of getting the Halloween season underway.
I should be sitting at my desk right now working. I feel like something is missing. I won’t be getting any Halloween party invitations to the big office Halloween party this year. That was always a blast.
That job is making it so hard to want to work anywhere else. No job I could possibly find will ever compare to that job. Even though I was only a temp I was treated like one of the family.

Galloway has it’s Christmas decorations up already! The main roads are lined with candy canes (at least with wooden one you won’t need to worry about having to read weight loss pill reviews). I think this is all just way too early. It used to be that decorations went up right after Thanksgiving. It’s like Thanksgiving is being pushed to the back burner.. forgotten.
Now Halloween things and Christmas things are vying for the shoppers attentions in stores. It’s crazy.. pretty soon we’ll be seeing Christmas decorations up in June. I guess it’s because of the economy that they are trying to rush the season and make their holiday sales. I’d just rather it went back to the old way. By the time Christmas gets here everyone will be tired of Christmas decorations, shows and music. I know I will!

First of all Happy Halloween everyone!
We all dressed up at work today and one guy went all out and I do mean ALL out. He was dressed as one of the Ghostbusters. He even went as far as to deck out his SUV. (see the picture below) He won a prize for the best costume. He was allowed to park his Ghostbustermobile on the front lawn by the sign. That attracted the local Channel 40 news team and he got interviewed by a reporter.
We had people dressed as orientals, sumo wrestlers who looked like they could use some diet pills, lots of witches, cartoon characters, dark characters and even some beauty queens such as Miss Take, Miss Calculation, Miss Hap, etc. We all had a great time and between 3 and 5 pm the employees were allowed to bring in their kids and grandkids so they could go trick or treating from office to office. I love working for this place!

We were discussing, at work today, what we were going to dress up as for Halloween. Every year everyone in the building dresses up and comes to work. Prizes are given and in the afternoon we are allowed to bring in our kids and grandkids. The kids get to go trick or treating to all of the offices. One co-worker was joking around and said he was going to dress up as a bottle of alli. LOL
Since we are a Halloween business it would just be wrong if we didn’t dress. I have a couple of costumes to try on to see which one I want to wear. Both include an Elvira wig!
Trick or treating in Galloway is from 6 to 8 pm on October 31. I rarely get anyone at my door except for a gang of teens, who aren’t wearing costumes, holding pillowcases. I don’t bother to answer the door.
What are you going to be this Halloween?
