Some retail companies are closing their doors. Recently Circuit City announced they are closing and are having a lot of sales to liquidate their merchandise. Boscovs has closed a lot of stores and laid off a lot more employees. Auto makers are laying off people too.
The economy is in a really bad way. We can only hope things get better and not worse in the future.

The unemployment figures just keep climbing and climbing. People are losing their jobs left and right. I work with a seasonal company and I get laid off and the end of every year and usually start back again in June. It’s hard trying to find a job anywhere even jobs in retail are hard to find. Luckily hubby still has his job and there are no indications that he’ll be laid off. He fixes cop cars for Atlantic City and as long as they keep wrecking their cop cars he’ll have a job (they wreck cars constantly).
I keep hoping that every time I go back to my job that they will hire me permanently and every year I’m disappointed. I won’t get my hopes up this year with the way the economy is.

My last day at my job is the last day of December. I’ve been working at the same place as a temp for the past 3 years. It’s seasonal and I start in June or July and work until the end of the year. I need to find some sort of temp position until June or July of next year when I’ll go back.
I don’t really know enough to do an IT job search although I know quite a bit about computers but it’s just enough to get me into trouble. I really need to find another temp office job. With the economy the way it is I don’t know how much luck I’ll have though.

Galloway has it’s Christmas decorations up already! The main roads are lined with candy canes (at least with wooden one you won’t need to worry about having to read weight loss pill reviews). I think this is all just way too early. It used to be that decorations went up right after Thanksgiving. It’s like Thanksgiving is being pushed to the back burner.. forgotten.
Now Halloween things and Christmas things are vying for the shoppers attentions in stores. It’s crazy.. pretty soon we’ll be seeing Christmas decorations up in June. I guess it’s because of the economy that they are trying to rush the season and make their holiday sales. I’d just rather it went back to the old way. By the time Christmas gets here everyone will be tired of Christmas decorations, shows and music. I know I will!
