I am so done with winter. I’m sick of being cold and bundling up. I was at the Carnival Cruise website checking out cruises. I just wish I could afford to take one to the Caribbean.
The ships are beautiful and loaded with plenty to do. There are lounges, pools, spas, casinos and more. It’s better than being cooped up in your home theater all winter. Wouldn’t it be better to watch a 12-foot-high by 22-foot-wide LED screen located poolside on the Lido deck showing movies, sporting events, concerts, and other special programming while you’re lounging by the pool?

Here I am again talking about how badly I want to get away to an island. With the cost of fuel and how the airlines are changing their pricing it’s getting to be too expensive, for me, to plan a trip to the Caribbean. There are place to go to along the eastern seaboard of the US that would be a “little” cheaper. My son lives in Myrtle Beach, SC and we could visit him and then head over to Hilton Head and look into Sea Pines rentals. It would definitely be a cheaper option.
The only thing is the water wouldn’t be as blue and clear as I’d like. But that’s just something to keep dreaming about.

I live in New Jersey and have traveled in Pennsylvania. One of the most dangerous roads in Pennsylvania is the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76). We call it the SureKill Expressway. You will get run over on that road. People drive like maniacs and if you get into an accident you’ll probably need the services of a Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer.
When I watch the news, in the morning or evening, there are always reports of accidents on that road. That’s one road we try to avoid.

We have traveled I95 from New Jersey to Florida many times. I always loved to read the South of the Border signs. Have you seen them? The ones with Pedro on them. There used to be tons of them about every mile or so. The last time I was down I95 they seem to have gotten rid of a lot of them or replaced them with signs for angel investors and other things.
South of the Border (for those of you who don’t know) is right on the border of North and South Carolina (actually it’s just south of the border… hence the name). It’s a tourist trap that sells all kinds of souvenirs and things.
On you next trip down 95 stop in and look around. Be sure to watch for the signs.. they’re cute!

These spoons are from California. My son was in the Army and stationed at Ft. Ord (which has since closed). He thought of his mother and got me these spoons while he was out there. I wonder if any were made from melted down billet grilles. 2 of the spoons are from Montery, California. Theo used to go there whenever he had the chance. He loved that area.
