There has been a recall issued for Maclaren baby strollers. The recall involves approximately 1 million strollers due to reports of children’s fingertips getting amputated by a hinge on the strollers. The strollers in question were sold between 1999 and today.
The recall includes all Maclaren single and double umbrella strollers, and the word “Maclaren” is printed on the stroller. The models involved include Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, TechnoXLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveler.
If you have one of these you should stop using the Maclaren stroller immediately, until you can get a repair kit. Maclaren will provide a hinge cover that can be ordered through its Web site. There is also a special phone number ((877) 688-2326).

When I was a teenager my father wanted a pool table. My mother gave in and got him one but the only place they could put it was in the dining room. So they got rid of the dining room table and put the pool table there. They kept the dining room chairs and at holidays put the ping pong table board on top, covered it with a table cloth and we all sat around the pool table.
That reminded of the old TV Show Beverly Hillbillies.. except they sat round the pool table and called it the fancy eating table.
At Christmas we had a train platform set up on top of the pool table too. I guess you could have called it a multi-function table.

We traveled by car to Texas just about a year ago to take the boys down to their mom. I’m so glad I didn’t take them down by myself. Of course having 2 young boys along we had to stop at rest areas to use the restrooms and Eddie seemed to have a fascination with the hand dryers. Hubby had to keep telling him to stop messing with them.
It would have been hard on me and could have been dangerous letting them go into the men’s restroom on their own since it would have been very awkward if I went in there with them or took them into the ladies room. But it all worked out without too much aggravation on hubby’s part.
If you’re a single mom or dad how do you work out the restroom thing when you travel with your son or daughter?
