Andi didn’t have the baby. The contractions stopped and she came down on Friday and left yesterday. She came to go to the family reunion, see her kids and pick up some baby stuff that a friend gave her. Now she has things to get her started and most importantly a car seat so she can bring the baby home from the hospital when she has him.
The kids are still here and sleeping (lazy little buggers) so I’m surfing and doing things on the computer. One website I found was talking about conjugated linoleic acids. I had no clue what that was until I looked at that website. I’d never even heard of that before. You learn something new everyday.

It has been hotter than hell all this week. Today it’s windy but it’s a hot wind and it’s been humid too. I am definitely not a summer person. I used to be but now I can’t deal with the heat and humidity. It makes me nauseous and dizzy. I sit in the air conditioning most of the time. When I do go out it’s in the morning before it gets too bad.
The worst thing I could possibly do it plan Vegas vacations at this time of year. The heat out there would just do me in. It’s bad enough here. I wouldn’t want to go on a vacation where I’d have to hang around in the air conditioning all day. I’d want to go and do things.
Anyway… things to do around here.. Catch ya on the flip side!!

I was looking at houses on Realtor.com just for fun. There’s no way we can afford to buy a house right now but a girl can dream can’t she? I came across this one house, or should I say starter mansion that was just about a million dollars. The kitchen had not 1 but 2 copper kitchen sinks. Copper is pretty but doesn’t it turn green after awhile?
Anyway… this house had 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. What would I do with that many bedrooms? I certainly would not want to clean 6 bathrooms either… 2 is my limit and I don’t even like cleaning them. It had a huge 3 car garage.. that would make hubby happier than a pig in slop. He’d be able to work on his junk projects and I’d never see him except when he wants food. Hmmm… maybe I should find the way to get the money for that starter mansion house.. Ha Ha.
Anyway.. back to the real world. I have to go pick up the grandkids soon and Andi will be here in a few hours so I have to straighten up my mouse hole condo.

Things just might be looking up. This morning I saw an ad in the paper for a receptionist/AP clerical position. I emailed them my resume. Less than a half hour ago I got a call from them asking if I would be interested in just the AP clerical position. It’s full time with benefits.
I have an interview tomorrow at 11am. I am so excited. Things have been very bad around here and I am so hoping they are about to change for the better. If all goes well I’ll be able to buy some cattle supplies if I want to. I live in a condo so cattle are not on my short list.
What is on my short list is to get out of this condo and either rent or buy a house. Hopefully that dream might come true soon.
