Digital vacations

The digital revolution is in full swing. Everywhere you go you see people with their digital cameras and digital camcorders. Everyone is keeping digital records of everything that goes on in their lives… a wedding, birth of a child, 1st day of school, sporting events, etc. Everything that can be recorded is being recorded.

Photos and videos are popping up all over the internet. It’s a great way to share family moments with relatives and friends who live far away.

On our trip to Texas in November 2007 to Andi’s homecoming from Iraq I took at least 200 pictures on the way to, the way home from Texas and at her homecoming ceremony. It was the 1st time I had a digital camera and a laptop on a trip. I was able to download the photos each night onto the laptop. I still look at those photos and they still bring back strong memories of a very important time in our lives.

Connectivity

When I 1st moved into my condo, 3 years ago, my cell phone worked fine. For the past few months my service has been crappy. I get dropped calls and no service messages a lot. I wonder if Nextel/Sprint’s cell towers have problems?

Now that I think about it… this all started when Sprint and Nextel got together. We were with Nextel when I moved in here. Hubby has more problems with his phone than I do and he just got a new phone because he was having problems with his old phone everywhere.

We can’t go with a different carrier right now because we still have about 2 years left on our contract. Hubby is so fed up he’s about ready to pay the fee for breaking the contract and go with someone else.
