How do you like to go camping? Do you use a tent? A travel trailer? An RV? Or do you just like to throw down a sleeping bag and sleep under the stars? Me? I’m an RV/travel trailer kind of gal. I need some kind of amenities. I need comfort.
Most campgrounds now-a-days have cable/satellite hookups but I think I would take a Slingbox with me just in case. When hubby and I started camping we had a pop-up camper. It was small, had no bathroom and no running water and most of all no TV. Then we graduated to a small RV and now have a large travel trailer.

Have you noticed that since unlocked phones have become more popular that pay phones have started vanishing? Cell phones have become a staple in peoples lives. They’re convenient and are easier to use than to have to make sure you have change on you.
Even house phones are becoming obsolete in some households. I don’t have a house phone.. only my cell and hubby has his. Cell phones are great when traveling. We don’t have to try to find a pay phone we only have to make sure we bring the chargers with us. We don’t have to use the phones, and get charged for calls, in motels.
I don’t see many pay phones around anymore. They used to be on almost every corner and outside almost every convenience store and grocery store. There used to be tons at rest stops on the interstates too… now there are only a few and I rarely see anyone using them.

My son lives and works in South Carolina. He’s not too far from where the fires are burning in North Myrtle Beach. A couple weeks ago he got depressed and mad and punched a wall. In the process he broke his hand and couldn’t work. He didn’t have any disability insurance due to the fact that his boss was partially paying him under the table.
His boss did pay him for last week and we helped him out with some money too. He went back to work this week and is trying to be careful. He installs auto glass so he does have to use his hands a lot. I hope he doesn’t do any more damage to his hand by working. I do understand that he needs to have the income to pay for his apartment and his car and everyday living expenses.
