One of these days

One of these days when we take a trip down to see our son in Myrtle Beach I’d love to stop and check out the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

I’ve heard a lot about it but have never had the chance to get there myself. Our trips are usually quick ones and we never have the chance to relax and enjoy ourselves. It’s something both hubby and I need. We need to get away and just relax. Maybe someday.

My home town

I was raised in Pleasantville and lived there from the time I was born until I got married. We lived in the same house the entire time.

It’s so strange how things look so much different many years later. For instance when I was young our house seemed so big, the yard seemed huge and the street seemed long. I went past there, on the way home from my interview, the other day. The street is short, the yard is small, the houses are close together and the house looks so small. The current owners had an aluminum fence installation done and it makes the yard look so small now. But one thing I can say is the current owners have keep the house up nicely. It still looks good and haven’t really made any major changes to the outside. It still looks like the house I grew up in but just looks smaller than I remember.

I always used to think if that house ever came up for sale again I’d like to buy it and move in. But the area has changed a lot and not for the better either. I have a lot of good memories about that house. Maybe it’s for the best to just keep the memories and not try to relive them.

Scuffle with police

A man in Northfield got into a scuffle with police in front of his daughter’s school. The man is disabled and all of the handicapped spaces were taken by people without handicapped tags or placards so he parked his car somewhere else and evidently didn’t park it to the satisfaction of a Northfield police officer. The officer ordered the man to move his car and wouldn’t listen to any explanation the man tried to give. Instead he wrestled the disabled man to the ground and cuffed him which made his injury from a prior automobile accident worse.

This sounds like a case for a Lexington personal injury lawyer to me. The man was cuffed and dragged into the police car and his daughter was left standing in the rain on the sidewalk with no supervision. The man has filed complaints in the case.

Fires

There have been an awful lot of house fires in the area since the beginning of the year. There have been a lot of them that were arson fires in the Philadelphia area. The rash of arson fires has been going on since the beginning of last year. I hope these people followed up on their insurance quotes and had good insurance.

There have been 3 or 4 house fires in Galloway that completely destroyed the houses. I don’t know what I would do if I suddenly found myself homeless. That has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. I hope that’s something that we or our family never have to go through.
