Can you believe that someone actually named their poor child “Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii”? Just imagine the teasing that poor thing has to put up with. She could never get a job, even as a futures broker, with a name like that.
A judge in New Zealand made the 9 year old girl a ward of the court and changed her name. She was the subject of a custody battle between her parents.
Some parents just don’t think when naming their children what the names can do to them later in life. The teasing, the ridicule a child receives because of their name can scar them for life.

Humane society workers found 117 cats, a raccoon and a rabbit in a house in Iowa. Council Bluffs, Iowa, police caught a 54-year-old woman who lives at the house reportedly stealing cat food. They said she smelled like cat urine.
It’s not the first time the woman has been in trouble for having too many cats. One time the humane society pulled more than 200 cats from her house.
Many of the cats found there were sick and the floor was covered in feces and some of the cats were dead.
The woman faces possible citations for cruelty to animals and other charges.
How in the world would that many cats be comfortable in that house? Where would they sit.. on sound bars? There aren’t that many windows in a house for them to sit on.

An elderly couple are claiming that mysterious noises have been plaguing their house for the past 2 years. They say it sounds like a rumbling motor, with a subtle vibration. It stops whenever they try to show city officials or acoustic experts what they’re hearing.
The noise keeps the woman awake at night. The noise can be heard whether the windows are open or closed. It’s not coming from a stereo in their home.. they don’t even have speaker mounts.
The couple said that the noise started soon after a church across the street had the roofing, chimney and duct work on a wing of its school redone. However, when the parish staff turned off all of its equipment as a test, the noise continued.

A 19 year old got 5 years for using technology to steal credit card numbers on Friday. He had skimmers which are handheld devices that can copy information from credit cards. He gave them out to his friends to use at their jobs. At least 150 people had their information stolen.
The teen’s lawyer asked for leniency for the teen because he has a life long skin condition that requires special care and medications. This kid lied to investigators and was the ring leader in all of this. I don’t see why he should get any special treatment. He was also charged with breaking windows in a local high school by shooting at them with a BB gun. These incidents happened between September 2006 and January 2007.
The teen said in court that he was really sorry he did all this and he wouldn’t do it again. I’ll be he’s only sorry that he got caught. He probably wanted to do a balance transfer of his credit card debt to someone else!

A 6th rabid raccoon has been found in Galloway Township since the beginning of 2008. The raccoon was found in a homeowner’s garage and it tried to attack the homeowner’s dog. Animal control was called and the raccoon was captured, removed from the property and euthanized. It was then sent to the NJ Dept of Health for testing.
The dog is under confinement for 6 months because it’s rabies shots were not current. The poor thing… that must be a horrible memory to live with. The homeowner is undergoing rabies treatment for the next 30 days.
This is the 9th case of rabies in Atlantic County.
