No.. this didn’t happen to me. It happened to a co-worker last year. She got home from work one day and found her front door open and her house had been ransacked. She lost all of her designer jewelry except for what she was wearing. She lost her TV, stereo, DVD player and more.

She had locked her house up before leaving for work but she didn’t have an alarm system. She had one put in afterward. I don’t know why people “lock the barn door after the horse is gone”, but we all do that. We don’t take security measures until something happens. We all think it won’t happen to us.
