That’s what I want to do! I want to hop aboard a cruise ship like the one in the picture below and head off to where the water is a beautiful blue. Where I can stand in the water up to my waist and still see my feet.

I want to lay my head on some nice soft pillows and be rocked to sleep by the movement of the ship and ocean. I want to relax in a deck chair and see nothing but the ocean and clear blue sky.
I want to go “crusin‘” but I don’t know if I want to come home again.

New Jersey is called the garden state. It was named way back when New Jersey was full of farmland. Slowly but surely the farmlands have been decreasing. Along Rt. 40 headed towards Delaware there were lots of farms. There still are some but not as many as there were.
It used to be you’d need a gps tracking device to find a house along that road. Now farms have been sold off and houses are being built in places where cows and horses roamed. Cars, people, children and family pets now reside where corn, wheat and vegetables grew.
Just to prove that there are still some farms in NJ here is a picture we took in November 2007 on our way to Texas.

No.. not me. My niece is taking my 87 year old mom to Florida next month. My other niece and nephew live there also my niece’s daughter just bought a house there. My Grand niece is in the Navy. They’re going to visit them.
Mom doesn’t get around very well and I hope that someone there has one of those walk in tubs or at least one that is low so mom can get in it easily. They will be flying down and I worry about mom being comfortable on a plane. She’s a big woman for her size and I worry about her having enough leg room.
They need to give passengers more leg room in airplanes!

I’m getting fed up with living in NJ. I’d like to find some nice, quiet, cheap place to live somewhere in the mountains. I’d even be willing to hire the best movers New York has to offer to get the heck out of here. I want to move where things are cheaper, but I know that’s going to be hard to find. Gas is expensive everywhere, food is going up and up. When is it all going to end?
Anyone know a nice, stress free, reasonable place to live? Yeah.. I know.. it doesn’t exist. I was born at the wrong time. I should have been born a hundred years ago when things were so much simpler. But then if I was I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this on my blog. lol

What living in a “pet free” condo means to me. Our condo association decided, last year, that they were going “pet free”. They grandfathered in the pets that were already here. Most of the pet owners have moved out and there are only a couple left. It’s quieter here with no barking dogs, although that never really bothered me much.
I do feel sorry for the people who’s pets are their only means of comfort, their “best friends”, their protection and their world. I know people who don’t have children and their pets are who they live for (they don’t live here though). It would be so hard on them if they had to give them up.
Pet free means to me:
- Not having to buy dog food
- No pet toys to trip over
- No pet beds to wash or replace because it’s gotten chewed
- No trash spread around because the pet got into the trash
- No vet bills
- No warm furry body to keep me warm while watching TV
- No fun walks
- No unquestioning love
- No delight at seeing you walk in the door after only being gone for a couple minutes
Yeah.. I wish I could have a pet.
