The Alamo

» by User Imagecharlotte in: Uncategorized

The AlamoThe Alamo is located in San Antonio, Texas. I was surprised to find out that it’s not out in the middle of nowhere, like I thought. The city has grown up around the Alamo.

You aren’t allowed to take pictures inside of any of the buildings so my pictures are of the outside and the grounds. It’s just so interesting to visit a part of history that I learned about in school as a little girl.

The doorways are quite low. Hubby and son had to duck to go through some of them. People were a lot shorter back in those days. On the grounds was a waterway running though it with a bridge across. In that waterway were the largest Koi fish I’ve ever seen!

I highly recommend going to the Alamo if you are ever in San Antonio, Texas. Admission is free. We stayed in a hotel nearby and were lucky that we didn’t have to bring a Cat5E for the laptop.. they had wireless!
