South Jersey Fun…. NOT!!!

When you are going to fly be sure to get to the airport early. I usually try to get to the airport at least 2 hours ahead of time. If you don’t you can end up with a migraine from rushing to the airport and having to wait in the security lines. Getting there early gives you time to relax before your flight and plenty of time to get through security.

Be sure to go the TSA website and read up on what you can or cannot carry on with you. That will save you some headaches too. Be sure to have your boarding pass and ID handy and try to wear shoes that you can remove easily because you’ll have to take them off when you go through security.

My daughter just drove up from Texas. She drove straight through except to stop in rest areas and nap for a couple hours each time. She played a game with the truckers on her trip. It was called “You stay in your lane, I’ll stay in mine and no one get’s hurt”. She said the truckers played that game very well!

Hopefully everyone has a safe holiday and picked a good one of the many life insurance quotes they got earlier this year.

Be careful on wet roads while driving. It takes longer to stop when the roads are wet than when they’re dry. A co-worker of mine found that out Friday night. It was raining when she left work and someone in front of her slowed suddenly and she couldn’t stop in time and hit them in the back. There wasn’t much damage to the van she hit but her car is pretty messed up in the front. The other driver probably didn’t have insurance because he got out and just told her that everything was ok and he left the scene.

Please drive safely this holiday. I wouldn’t want you to end up in some of the situations we saw on our trip to Texas. The picture below shows just one situation that I’m talking about.

Make sure you are well rested before starting a long trip. Take frequent breaks and don’t try to drive a long trip all in one day. It’s not worth the risk.
