I haven’t been horseback riding in a long time so I was just searching for places to do just that. I found a few places in Southern NJ to ride or take lessons:

Circle D Farm offers horse boarding, training and riding lessons. Please call for lesson pricing. The manager of Circle D is an experienced trainer. Come take lessons and learn how to ride today! DAY CAMP FOR KIDS- Hidden Valley ranch offers a wonderful day camp for children where the kids clean stalls, take riding lessons and ride the ponies. Pricing for camp is $160 a week or $40 a day from 9 AM-12 AM. Please call for regular Horseback lesson pricing.

Circle A offers guided horseback riding through scenic 3,800 acre Allaire Park. Their summer hours are from 9AM to 6PM and all other times from 9am to 4pm. The cost is $40 per person, per hour. Call for reservations and exact ride times.

Timber Creek Ranch is located a few miles from exit 38 on the Atlantic City Expressway. Rides are Saturday and Sunday only from 10am to 4pm, Year round – Weather permitting. Children must be at least 7 years old. $20 per person for a 50 minute trail ride Reservations required, call: (856) 262-3800 All rides are with a guide. Groups of 8-10 riders: $15 per personPony rides available for children not old enough for trail riding.

Just make sure you find yourself some nice horse riding apparel so you can be the best dressed person there! :)

    I havent’ been riding for years, and I miss it. Wish I had a friend who would take me riding again. though I don’t miss the sore thighs.

    Cynthia: Last time I rode a horse I was just a kid. I’m 54 now. I don’t remember being sore.. LOL
